# Switch plans

Welcome to Storyonboards, your go-to online tool for storyboard and script creation. We understand that your needs might evolve over time, and therefore, we offer flexibility in managing your subscription plans. Here’s how you can switch between different subscription plans:

Key Rules for Switching Plans:

### Downgrade from Professional to Standard Plan

Direct downgrade not available: If you're currently on the Professional Plan, you can not directly switch back to the Standard Plan.

**Steps to Downgrade**:

You need to first cancel your existing subscription. Once your current plan's service period ends, you can choose a subscription plan that suits your needs.

### Upgrade from Standard to Professional Plan

**Direct Upgrade:**If you're on the Standard Plan, you can easily upgrade to the Professional Plan.

**Immediate Access**: Upon successful payment and subscription, your account will immediately be upgraded to the Professional Plan.

**Billing Cycle**: Your current billing cycle from the Standard Plan will remain unaffected initially. For example, if your Standard Plan was set to renew on January 1st, there will be no charge on that date. The new billing for the Professional Plan will begin after your current Standard Plan's service period ends. Continuing from the above example, your new Professional Plan billing will start on February 1st, with automatic payments occurring on the 1st of every month based on the Professional Plan rates.

Example Scenario:

`Suppose you subscribed to the Standard Plan monthly on December 1, 2024. Due to business needs, you decide to upgrade to the Professional Plan on December 15, 2024. Once you successfully subscribe to the Professional Plan, your account will immediately be upgraded to the Professional Plan from December 15. However, no payment will be taken on January 1, 2025, the next billing date for your previous Standard Plan. Instead, the first automatic deduction for the Professional Plan will occur on February 1, 2025, continuing monthly there after.`

### Switch from Annual to Monthly Plans

Direct downgrade not available: If you're on an annual plan, you can not directly switch to a monthly plan.

**Steps to Switch**:

First, cancel your current annual subscription. Once it expires, you can select a suitable monthly plan.

### Upgrade from Monthly to Annual Plans

**Easy Transition**: You have the option to switch from a monthly to an annual plan seamlessly by subscribing to the annual plan.

**Billing Cycle**: The billing cycle will follow the guidelines mentioned in "Upgrade from Standard to Professional Plan" regarding the upgrading process.

By keeping these guidelines in mind, you can effectively manage your subscription on Storyonboards to suit your evolving creative needs. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact our support team at <support@storyonboards.com>.
